For the second time, FFAV will participate in the “Football for Hope” Festival- an official event of World Cup 2018

In June 2018, FFAV will have another chance to participate in the “Football for Hope” Festival together with 48 other delegations from different organizations around the world. This is the second time FFAV have had this honour; the first time FFAV was immersed in a dynamic atmosphere at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

This year’s “Football for Hope” festival will last for 11 days (25th June – 5th July) in Moscow, Russia. The participants will have a wide variety of interesting activities to join in such as young leader camps, capacity building workshops, cultural exchange activities, football tournaments and sightseeing trips.

Along with professional football, grassroots football is a crucial part of sports in general. It also helps educate and nurture dreams for younger generations. The main objectives of the festival are to showcase the power of football as a tool for social development, to impact the lives of young participants from disadvantaged communities, and to encourage young people to continue their efforts to drive social change in their community. Therefore, FFAV’s delegation this year includes 1 leader, 2 boys and 2 girls players between the ages of 15-18 years old, and 1 young leader coming from a social center. They will be equipped with necessary skills and knowledge such as English, Russian culture, and life skills so that they can be confident in performing well as young Vietnamese agents.

This is a great opportunity for Vietnam to officially be part of the FIFA World Cup and a once in a lifetime memory for participants, as well as great opportunity for learning and networking with different nations and cultures. We will update more information about the Festival as well as the participators in the coming time.
